Zia Mohyeddin

A living legend and a man of many talents, Zia Mohyeddin’s career spans acting, directing, writing, broadcasting, and a wide range of aesthetic disciplines. An alumnus of Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London, he has produced, directed, and acted in numerous plays. In 1970s, he hosted the now legendary Zia Mohyeddin Showon PTV. In England, he produced Here and Now and Family Pride—Britain’s first Asian soap in which he also starred. In 2005, Zia Mohyeddin set up the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) in Karachi. He is also the author of A Carrot is a Carrot: Memories and Reflection, Theatrics, and The God of My Idolatry: Memories and Reflections.
