Yasir Qazi

Yasir Qazi is a radio broadcast journalist, poet, prose writer, researcher, and translator. He has been writing since childhood, carrying the legacy of his father—the celebrated Sindhi poet and scholar, Maqood Gul. Yasir is a regular columnist for newspapers and magazines. He has published three poetry books for children, all of which were awarded the Best Children’s Book of the Year by the Sindhi Language Authority, Government of Sindh and Institute of Sindhology. Yasir’s fourth book is a compilation of Sindhi essays, write-ups, and columns, written by various writers on Maqsood Gul and fifth book is the poetic biography of Lal Shahbaz Qalander, published in 2018 by Department of Culture, Government of Sindh, which is warmly received by the literary circles.
