Wayne has over 25 years work experience in education and technology with a career that has been varied, including teaching, product development, qualifications and assessment development and delivery, school improvement interventions and software development.

He is passionate about education and technology and while working for Pearson for many years he was fortunate to work across different divisions (including Edexcel, Connections Academy and Global Schools). He also worked all ages and stages of learning and multiple education markets and contexts globally, including South Africa, East and West Africa, China, Brazil, India, Italy, Australia, the US and the UK. In these markets he has had the opportunity to work across a variety of education areas and product lines, including core school curriculum product, virtual schooling, teacher professional development services, school assessment services, product efficacy and qualifications.

Wayne has also worked in higher education where he led a large global product design, development and delivery team at 2U, a US education technology company who build, deliver and support online degree and non-degree programs for universities. His team worked in partnership with global universities (including Oxford, MIT, Cambridge, London School of Economics, Stanford, Bocconi, amongst others) to design, develop and deliver 2U’s digital short course academic products.

Wayne currently leads the Global Product function for the education division at Oxford University Press where he has responsibility for product strategy, digital product management and transformation, assessment services, product data and insights and product efficacy.
