Syed Shabbar Zaidi
Syed Shabbar Zaidi is a distinguished graduate of Hailey College of Commerce, Lahore, and a Chartered Accountant. He holds the title of Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (FCA). Throughout his career, he has held significant roles, such as serving as the President of ICAP (2005-2006) and the President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (2008). In the realm of public service, he took on the responsibilities of caretaker minister for Finance, Board of Revenue, and Excise & Taxation for the Government of Sindh (April-June 2013). He served as the Territory Senior Partner at A.F. Ferguson & Co from 2014 to 2019 and held the position of Chairman at the Federal Board of Revenue (2019/20). Beyond his professional endeavours, Syed Shabbar Zaidi is a founder trustee of the Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT) and a member of the Board of Governors at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi.
