Syed Kashif Raza 

Syed Kashif Raza is a broadcast journalist by profession. A poet, fiction writer, and translator based in Karachi, he has authored seven books including two volumes of poetry. His first novel, “Char Darvesh aur Aik Katchwa”, was published in October 2018; the novel won the UBL prize for fiction and was short-listed for the KLF prize for Urdu Literature. He has also published two poetry collections: “Muhabbat ka Mahall-e Wuqu” and “Mamnu Mausamon ki Kitaab”. His translation of Arundhati Roy’s latest book “Azadi: Freedom, Fascism, Fiction” has been published recently by Folio Books. He writes book reviews, critical essays, and political articles, both in Urdu and English, for different newspapers and websites. He works for Geo News and lives in Karachi.
