Sheherbano Husain

Sheherbano Husain taught painting, drawing, and art theory at the IVS and the University of Karachi. She has freelanced as an art critic for Newsline and has been on curatorial committees of art exhibitions and on the jury of film festivals and degree shows. Sheherbano has participated in art residencies and held several exhibitions of her work at home and abroad. She received a blue ribbon (first prize) for a juried exhibition conducted by the Brazos Valley Art League, USA, during her stint at the Texas A&M University. She has been a nominee of the Lux Style Award (2003) and the Asian Sovereign Art Prize, Hong Kong (2011).
