Shafqat Mahmood

An MNA from Lahore, Shafqat Mahmood is the current Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training and Heritage as well as Prime Minister’s Special Representative on International Religious Freedom. In a distinguished political career, Mr Mahmood is a former Senator (1994–9); MNA (2013–8); and caretaker Federal Minister for Agriculture (1996–7). He was also Punjab Minister for Information and Culture (1999–2000). He has represented Pakistan at the UN and at the UNCHR.
