Raja Shehzad originally hails from Karachi and has been based in New Zealand, along with his family, for over two decades. He has a master’s degree from the University of Canterbury in International Law & Politics along with a postgrad diploma from Australian National University in Migration Law and Practice. Despite being in the legal profession he has been writing short stories, novels, and poems for years. Other than the translation of an anthology of lectures of Swami Vivekananda, he has avoided publishing his fiction. Now his first collection of Urdu stories has been published by Maktaba-e-Danyal under the title of ‘Log Sargoshiyon Mein Goya Hain,’ which includes around 60 short stories and one novella.
