Qirat Zahid

Qirat Zahid has an M.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Karachi and a B.Ed. from the Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad. She has been in the teaching profession since 2013 and currently teaches English at the Civilizations Public School, Karachi. Inspired by the Human Library Organization at Denmark she co-founded The Human Tales Pakistan in 2021 with a group of like-minded friends. It is a platform where people serve as ‘talking books.’ Listeners select books (humans) of their own choice and have a conversation with them. The main objective of this platform is to eradicate prejudice and discrimination in society by listening to stories of people from different backgrounds, without being judgemental, and see the world through their lens.
