
Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui
Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui (born February 8, 1943) is a noted Pakistani scholar, Urdu poet, and educationist with significant contributions to higher education. He earned his PhD from Newcastle University, England. Since 1966, he has been associated with Karachi University’s Department of Physiology. He served as the Founding Vice Chancellor of Federal Urdu University and as Vice Chancellor of Karachi University and Ziauddin University. Currently, he is Professor Emeritus at both Ziauddin University and the University of Karachi. Professor Pirzada Qasim has authored several books in English and Urdu, including notable Urdu poetry collections such as تیز ہوا کے جشن میں, شعلے پر زباں, and بیمسافت سفر.
