Mumtaz Bukhari

Mumtaz Bukhari is a Sindhi language writer, authoring 4 novels, 3 short story books, 3 books on criticism and literature, 5 books of translation, and 3 research books, along with two Urdu books. He is a playwright for Sindhi and Urdu TV and radio dramas and has been a working journalist for 30 years, producing research documentaries on various subjects. His work has been published internationally, including his novel ‘Class four ki Mahbooba’ in Urdu in both Lucknow and Karachi, and another Sindhi novel published in English titled ‘I Have to Wait for You’. He has served as editor for several literary magazines, collaborated with various organizations, and participated in numerous national and international literary programs, conferences, and workshops. He has received awards for his literary work from organizations such as the Academy of Letters, Pakistan, and the Sindhi Language Authority. With an excellent academic background, he holds positions in recognized literary, social, and journalistic organizations. He has experience as a scriptwriter, translator, and anchor person for Radio Pakistan Khair Pur and has hosted television and radio programs. Currently, he serves as the President of Sukkur Arts Council.
