Khurram Jamali, Co-founder & CEO of DCore Technologies Pte. Ltd., is resolute in revolutionizing the tech ecosystem of Pakistan. He is committed to supporting startups that have the potential and vision to create ripples in the global tech economy, a sector that Khurram believes can boost Pakistan’s economy and create local employment opportunities.
He is a fierce proponent of financial institutions and tech companies working hand in hand to develop products that increase access to payments for every segment of society. Khurram has stressed time and time again the need for global communities to come together and digitize economies to create opportunities for the disadvantaged and underprivileged. He believes developing AI muscle will be critical for population-scale impact.
As the Head of Partnerships for Payments across the Next Billion User (NBU) markets for Google, he has witnessed the remarkable results of financial inclusion through the spread of digital payments in developing countries. In addition, he built out and led the Pakistan market at Google Singapore, growing the business 10x in less than five years.
Previously, he was involved in corporate and investment banking with Habib Bank Limited across Pakistan and China. Jamali started his career consulting with Analysis Group, working on cases such as Microsoft’s antitrust lawsuits and the Enron bankruptcy.
Over the last decade, Khurram has been operationally involved in multiple startups, including Oraan, Rayn, Waseela, and even before these, Parho Likho, to spread his love for his mother tongue, Urdu.
Khurram has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Middlebury with a focus in Economics, Mandarin, and Computer Science.
