Kenizé Mourad, an accomplished journalist, foreign affairs and war correspondent, historian, and bestselling novelist, is the orphaned daughter of a Turkish Ottoman princess and the late Rajah of Kotwara, an Indian Muslim father. Raised by Catholic nuns in Paris, she studied sociology and psychology at the Sorbonne. Kenizé has achieved international acclaim for her work, receiving the Prix Anaïs Ségalas from the French National Academy. In 1987, she was honoured as the top-ranking woman in the French Literary World by the Who’s Who of French Women and also received the Prix des Lectrices de ELLE from the readers of the renowned French women’s magazine.
