Kashif Raza
A poet, fiction writer, translator, and a broadcast journalist by profession, Syed Kashif Raza has authored six books including two volumes of poetry and a novel. His critical essays and political articles, both in Urdu and English, are published frequently. He has translated the writings of Milan Kundera, Jorge Luis Borges, James Joyce, and Noam Chomsky into Urdu. Raza edits a quarterly review of books, Karachi Review. His first Urdu novel is Char Darvesh aur Aik Katchwa (2018). He has also translated Muhammad Hanif’s novel, A Case of Exploding Mangoes, into Urdu. He has recently edited a volume containing the Urdu translation of Eqbal Ahmad’s writings.
