Javid Aly Khan is Shaheed-I-Millat Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan’s nephew.He did his M.A. in English Literature from Karachi University and M.A. Honours in English from Cambridge University, England.He taught English at Karachi University for over four years. Some of his distinguished students include Anwar Maqsood, Javed Jabbar, Irfan Husain the columnist & author, the late Razia Bhatti,Editor of Herald. He has written articles for Dawn, Herald and Sun and now write regularly for Friday Times.Mr Khan took the Foreign Service lateral entry exam from Sweden, appointed Director and was posted by Mr. Bhutto personally to set up a mini Foreign Office in Karachi at the same time Begum RA’ANA Liaquat was Governor of Sindh. He resigned when Zia ul Haq took over, refusing to work for a military dictator, left the country to work abroad and now live in the UK.
