Ikram Sehgal
Ikram Sehgal, a distinguished individual, is a former Pakistani POW who escaped from India in 1971, demonstrating exceptional courage and leadership. He holds the rank of Major, earned during his service leading a rifle company in the Thar Desert. Mr Sehgal is a sought-after speaker at defence institutions globally and serves as Co-Chairman of the Pathfinder Group, overseeing leading security and IT firms. He played a key role in the global recognition of Virtual Remittance Gateway (VRG), ranking third worldwide for digital financial inclusion with nearly 9.0 million Asaan Mobile Accounts (AMA) by the Edison Alliance of WEF. Beyond his professional roles, Mr Sehgal holds various positions, including Patron-in-Chief of KCFR, Vice Chairman of the Board of Management at Quaid-e-Azam House Museum, Honorary Senior Fellow at Singularity Academy, Zurich, and membership in WEF’s ‘Partnering Against Corruption Initiative’ (PACI) Board. He also served as a former Global Agenda Council (GAC) member for ‘Counter-Terrorism.’ Sehgal is the Chairman of the ‘Pakistan Committee’ of the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce in Geneva and was a Director of the EastWest Institute New York. He has served on the Executive Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) for a decade and on the Board of Directors of Bank Alfalah for sixteen years since its inception. Elected Chairman of K-Electric in January 2019, he is a prolific writer and well-known defence and security analyst on television.
