Huma Ghaffar

Dr Huma Ghaffar is a faculty at the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Aga Khan University and is a visiting faculty at the Pakistan Study Centre, University of Karachi. Her area of specialization is historiography with special emphasis on the history of the subcontinent. Dr Huma is the author of the book ‘Pakistan mein Tarikh Nigari ka Tajziyati Mutalah (1947-1975)’ (An Analytical Study of Historiography in Pakistan 1947-1975) (2007). Her work has been published in academic and research journals consisting of articles on History, Historiography, and the Curriculum of Social Studies in Pakistan. She is the assistant editor of a history journal ‘Tareekh’ and has translated numerous works on the Literature of History. She has served as the President and the General Secretary of the Irtiqa Institute of Social Sciences and has been its active member since 2007.
