A Pakistani dramatist, playwright, and scriptwriter, Haseena Moinhas written several plays for stage, radio, and television, some of which have gained international repute. She is the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan’s first original television script, Kiran Kahani, aired in the early 1970s. Some popular drama serials she wrote include Ankahi, Tanhaiyaan, Dhoop Kinaray, Uncle Urfi, and Shahzori. She was the first Pakistani writer to write dialogues for a Bollywood film, Henna.
