Hasan Manzar
Born on 4 March 1934, Hasan Manzar, a psychiatrist by profession, is a prolific novelist and short story writer. His family migrated to Pakistan in 1947 and settled in Lahore where he received most of his formal education. He attended Forman Christian College, Islamia College, and, later, King Edward Medical College for his medical degree. He pursued postgraduate studies in psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Currently residing in Hyderabad, Sindh, he manages a psychiatric clinic. Hasan Manzar has received various accolades, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz from the Government of Pakistan, for his significant literary contributions.
