Dr Ghazala Alam is a multifaceted individual, known for her contributions as a physician, poet, and philanthropist. With over 25 years of experience in primary care, she has been a dedicated healthcare provider and an active member of several boards and committees.

Dr Alam’s passion for poetry emerged from her life experiences, both joyful and sorrowful, which she channels into her writing. She is the author of the book ‘On Being Human (Insaaniyat)’, a collection of Urdu poems (with English representations) that reflect on the human condition and our shared humanity. Her poetry aims to bring readers closer to their inner selves and to recognize our common humanity.

In addition to her medical and literary pursuits, Dr Alam is also a community leader and advocate, involved in initiatives addressing homelessness and hunger. She is committed to empowering women and making a positive impact through her philanthropic efforts.
