Farieha Aziz

Farieha Aziz is a Karachi-based journalist and a recipient of the All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) Award for Best Investigative Report (2007–2008). She is the co‑founder of Bolo Bhi, a civil society organisation working on advocacy, policy, and research in the areas of digital rights, gender, and civic responsibility. She regularly conducts awareness trainings on digital safety, the cybercrime law, and anti‑harassment policies. She also provides assistance to women seeking legal recourse against harassment and gender‑based violence, both offline and online. Farieha has researched and written extensively on the right to freedom of expression, press freedom, and laws such as the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, particularly their impact on women. She has been a petitioner in various public‑interest cases, including the challenge to the two‑finger test—which was struck down as unconstitutional by the Lahore High Court—and has also assisted courts as an amicus curiae.
