Syed Jaffar Ahmed

Dr Syed Jaffar Ahmed, PhD from the University of Cambridge, serves as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Sohail University and as Director of the Institute of Historical and Social Research in Karachi. Formerly, he was Director of the Pakistan Study Centre at the University of Karachi. Dr Ahmed specializes in teaching Government and Politics in Pakistan, the History of the Freedom Movement, Research Methodology, and Contemporary Socio-political Issues of Pakistan. With 30 authored books and numerous articles published in international and national journals, he actively collaborates with civil society organizations on Peace and Human Rights initiatives.
