Salman Sarwat

Dr Salman Sarwat is an emerging voice among the younger generation of Urdu poets. He has developed a distinctive style in Urdu free verse, with poems such as Selfie, Middle Class, and Traffic reflecting his sharp urban sensibility. Holding a PhD in Finance Management, he teaches Philosophy and also writes literary criticism, essays, and short stories. He has presented his work at various literary festivals, carrying forward the legacy of his father, the celebrated poet Sarwat Hussain. Dr. Sarwat is currently associated with Barrett Hodgson University, Karachi.
