Christie Marie Lauder

Christie Marie Lauder is the Assistant Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, as well as the Program Director of the Communications and Design Department at Habib University, where she teaches creative writing, film theory, and journalism. Formerly, she served as the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Journalism at IBA. Her work has appeared in The Express Tribune, Persephone Magazine, Peauxdunque Review, Jezebel, and Refinery29, among other outlets. She has also served on the board of the Salam Award, promoting speculative fiction writing within the Pakistani diaspora. She writes frequently about the intersections of pop culture and gender, genre cinema, and adaptation.
