Christian Turner

Christian Turner CMG is the current British High Commissioner to Pakistan. He was the UK Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser (April 2017– July 2019); and previously served as the acting DG, Political (Acting) and DG for the Middle East and Africa, leading the UK organisation of the London Syria Conference in February 2016. He was British High Commissioner to Kenya (2012–15); and FCO’s Director for the Middle East and North Africa (2009–12). He was made CMG in the Queen’s New Year Honours 2012 for services to foreign policy.
