Azra Abbas

Azra Abbas is an Urdu poet and a well-known literary personality in her own right. In 1981, she published Neend ki Musafatain, an extended prose poem written in the stream-of-consciousness style. Since then, she has published four collections of poetry, her memoirs, a compilation of short stories, and a novel. In 2017, Oxford University Press published a translation of her work, titled Kicking up Dust, in which she reminisces on various aspects of her childhood
