Athar Masood

Civil servant by profession and a scholar by passion. A classical vocalist, among his various accomplishments, Dr Masood learnt music from the famous duo Ustad Badar-uz-Zaman and Ustad Qamar-uz-Zaman and has been performing from the Lahore station of Radio Pakistan. He is the author of several literary books such as Parbat ke Uss Par, Naqsh-e-Masood, Maqalat-e-Masood, Chandigarh Tak, Doyens of Subcontinental Music, Jamal Kahanian, Dewaar, Naghma-e-Qudsi, and Hindustan ki Musiqi to name a few. He has also taught at LUMS from 2011 to 2018.
