Arieb Azhar

Arieb Azhar is an acclaimed singer, writer, columnist and cultural promoter. A pioneer of contemporary Sufi music of Pakistan, Arieb has performed in all major venues and festivals of Pakistan as well as toured abroad extensively. He has over 25 years of experience in music management and culture generation both in Pakistan and Europe. He founded the Music Mela Festival of Islamabad which he curated for three years, and is presently founder and director of Art Langar—a festival that connects music and arts with the spirit of charity and community integration. Arieb is a regular speaker on the topic of culture generation and Sufi poetry of Pakistan; and has produced several documentary films on music and music heritage
