Anwer Sen Roy

Writer and journalist, Anwer Sen Roy is the author of two novels: Cheekh and Zillatoun ke Aseer. He has worked with several major Urdu print media groups and has launched four Urdu dailies from Karachi as a pioneer editor. After retiring from the BBC World Service, London, he fully focuses on his literary work. His book, New York ke Liye Ek Qabar aur Doosri Nazmain (2016), is a translation of poems by Adonis, the Syrian-born Lebanese poet and literary critic; and Jughrafey kay Ma’toob is a translation of selected poems by Mahmoud Darwish.
