Amir Zia

Amir Zia has worked for some of the leading national and international media organizations in a journalistic career spanning over three decades. He primarily focusses on Pakistan’s economy, politics, and issues related to terrorism and extremism, and frequently appears as an analyst and political commentator on major news channels. Currently, Amir serves as the Editor-in-Chief at Bol Media Group. Previously, he held the position of Chief Editor at Hum News. Additionally, he has served as the Editor of Pakistan’s prominent English-language newspaper, The News, and as the Director of News & Current Affairs at the Urdu-language news channel, SAMAA. He has also contributed to the monthly magazine Newsline, The Associated Press of America, and Reuters. He is the recipient of two APNS Awards for the best stories on the economy and general news.
