Abdur Rehman Momin

Abdur Rehman Momin is a promising young poet and Urdu literature enthusiast from Karachi. Coming from a literary family, he began writing poetry in 2011 and quickly gained recognition among emerging poets. Although he does not restrict himself to any single genre, he most often expresses himself through the ghazal. He draws inspiration from Mirza Ghalib and Allama Iqbal. Momin holds a master’s degree in Urdu literature from the University of Karachi and has hosted over 100 episodes of the literary program Adab Adeeb on VOSA TV. He served as the chief editor of the children’s magazine Monthly Sathee from 2019 to 2022. He is currently working as a curriculum design specialist for Urdu at TCF and is involved in interpreting Allama Iqbal’s poetry to make it accessible and relatable for children.
