Alyy Khan
Alyy Khan is a British‑Pakistani actor whose career spans Hollywood, Bollywood, and Pakistani film and television. Born on 6 December 1968 in Karachi, he spent his early years between Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and India, eventually receiving his schooling at Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. His formal training includes studying drama under Hima Devi—affiliated with Trinity College London—at Hima Kala Kendra, as well as earning a diploma in film and television production from Pimlico Arts and Media College in London. Khan began his acting career in the early 1990s with Indian television, later expanding into theatre, Pakistani dramas, and international cinema. He is widely recognized for his roles in major films such as A Mighty Heart (2007), Traitor (2008), Don 2 (2011), Actor in Law (2016), and Mogul Mowgli (2020). His television work includes notable appearances in The Bill, Strike Back, Indian Summers, Pakeezah, and internationally acclaimed series like Netflix’s The Serpent (2020) and Apple TV’s Shantaram (2022). Beyond acting, Khan has hosted the cross‑border culinary reality show Foodistan and has also directed theatre, most notably staging the play Aapki Soniya in 2013.
