Kashif Hussain Ghayer

Kashif Hussain Ghayer is a contemporary Urdu poet from Nawabshah, Sindh, born on 12 March 1979 and now based in Karachi. Writing under the pen name Ghayer, he is best known for his ghazals that blend classical tradition with modern sensibilities. His first poetry collection, Raste Ghar Nahin Jane Detay (2009), earned him recognition in literary circles, and his work is admired for its fresh imagery, emotional depth, and lyrical expression. Ghayer is regarded as part of the new generation of Urdu poets carrying forward the ghazal form with innovation and passion.
