Shireen Haroun

Shireen Haroun comes from a family of writers. She holds a degree in Law from the University of Warwick, UK. After retiring from corporate life, she devoted herself fully to writing—especially poetry—while also teaching English Literature for the Cambridge board, with a focus on O and A Levels. Over the years, her poems have been published in various anthologies and journals not only in Pakistan but also in the UK, US, and Canada, including the Journal of Postcolonial LiteratureVallum, and others. In 2006, she won first prize for poetry in Pakistan. She is also a regular reader and contributor at the Karachi Literature Festival, including panel discussions.
