Shabbir Hussain Baloch

Shabbir Hussain Baloch holds M.A. degrees in Urdu and Political Science. A renowned educationist, he has served for more than 28 years as a senior teacher in Karachi, teaching Urdu in various institutions alongside his government service. He has dedicated his career to empowering youth from underserved and marginalized communities, and is also known as a local historian and community leader. During periods of violence in Karachi, he mentored young people and mobilized communities to help restore peace among diverse groups. He has built a strong network of youth across different communities locally and globally, who remain active in voluntary work during times of crisis. A writer as well, he has contributed numerous articles on education and the history of Urdu literature to various publications. He is currently working on his forthcoming book on youth role models from Lyari, expected to be published soon.
