Sara Malkani
Sara Malkani is an advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan with nearly 15 years of legal practice. Her expertise spans constitutional litigation, family law, criminal litigation, and international human rights law. She has served as a legal adviser to the international human rights organization, the Center for Reproductive Rights. The Sindh High Court has appointed her as amicus curiae in several cases concerning the implementation of laws for the protection of women and children. Sara began her legal career in Los Angeles, California, where she worked at a labor law firm representing teacher and port-worker unions in litigation and arbitration proceedings. Her book, Progressive Laws in Patriarchal Societies: Lessons from Pakistan, was published by Bloomsbury in July 2025. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School at Ann Arbor and a B.A. with high honors from Princeton University.
